Ellene Hartounian is a painter and primary school teacher whose work blends naïve, dreamlike imagery with elements of darkness, exploring how childlike wonder can endure in a volatile world. Her surreal landscapes, inspired from both dreams and nightmares, create a space where beauty and discomfort can exist together in harmony.
With poems by Sofia Koch. When memories fade away, they become bittersweet dreams. Fragments of conversations, scents, glittering lights, dancing on windowsills. Through multilingual poems, Sofia is inviting the audience into her memories and the process of them rubbing off softly from our minds.
