(DE) In diesem Malkurs nähern wir uns dem Malen von Grund auf. In einer kleinen Gruppe lernst Du Schritt für Schritt die Grundlagen der Malerei mit Ölfarben, Acrylfarben und mit Pastellkreiden. In jeder Einheit wird die Übung für alle demonstriert und anschließend individuell angeleitet. Beim Malen geht es vor allem darum, ein gutes Gespür für Farben und Farbwirkung zu entwickeln. Wir arbeiten mit Fotovorlagen und Stillleben. Am Ende des Kurses verfügst Du über ein Grundverständnis für Farben und Formen und verstehst, welche Maltechnik sich für welche Effekte eignet. 

In jeder Unterrichtseinheit lernst Du schrittweise mehr über: 

1) Materialien

• • Du lernst, wie Du mit den Farben als Material umgehst, Deine Pinsel auswäschst und Deine Palette übersichtlich hältst.

  • Du bekommst eine Einführung in Acrylfarben, Ölfarben und Pastellkreiden.

  • Du verstehst, welche Art von Pinseln sich für was eignen. 

2) Farben

• • Farben sehen, mischen und abbilden

• Wirkung unterschiedlicher Farben aufeinander 

3) Farbwerte und Kontraste

• für Flächen-, Volumen- und Kantengestaltung

• Nähe und Distanz mit Farben ausdrücken

(EN) In this beginner's painting course, we approach painting from the ground up. In a small group, you will learn the fundamentals of painting with oils, acrylics, and pastels step by step. The focus is primarily on developing a keen sense of colour and the effects colours create. We will work using photographic references and still-life setups.

In each session, you will gradually learn more about:

• You will understand which types of brushes are suitable for specific tasks.

• Seeing, mixing, and rendering colours

• For shaping planes, volume, and edges

• Image structure: guiding the eye and creating visual tension

Watercolour can seem unpredictable and intimidating, but once you understand its basic principles, it becomes an incredibly versatile and enjoyable medium.

Watercolour Day is a practical introduction to watercolor painting. During this one-day workshop, participants will explore the essential techniques of watercolor through guided exercises and then apply these skills to create a finished artwork.

The workshop begins with a series of short studies focused on understanding water, pigment, transparency, and tonal values. Participants will experiment with washes, color mixing, layering, and texture-making techniques while learning how watercolor paintings are built from light to dark.

In the second half of the workshop, participants will create a final watercolor painting using the techniques practiced earlier in the day.

Participants will learn:

• The foundations of watercolor painting

• How different materials affect the result

• Water and pigment control

• Color mixing and tonal relationships

• Wet-on-wet and wet-on-dry techniques

• Glazing and layering

• Methods for creating texture and special effects

• Techniques for correcting and lifting paint

What’s included:

All materials are included in the workshop. Participants will have access to professional watercolor paper, paints, brushes, and other necessary supplies throughout the day.

Each participant will also receive a practical workbook created specifically for this course. The workbook contains key watercolor concepts, exercises, technical notes, and practice recommendations, making it easy to continue learning and practicing at home.

Workshop Language:

The workshop will be conducted in English. Additional explanations and support can be provided in German and Russian whenever needed.

About the Instructor:

Jenny Andreeva is a Berlin-based watercolor artist and educator. She is a member of the German Watercolour Society and has exhibited internationally, including at the Fabriano Watercolour Festival in Italy. She has held several solo exhibitions in Berlin and teaches watercolor to beginners and hobby artists.

(DE) Eine herbstliche Landschaft im impressionistischen Stil malen – kannst du das? Mit diesem Workshop: Absolut!

In diesem Workshop tauchen wir ein in die Welt des Impressionismus. Ausgehend von eine Landschaftsphotographie erstellen wir Tupfen für Tupfen ein impressionistisches Gemälde auf Leinwand. Du erhältst eine Schritt-für-Schritt-Anleitung, von der Farbwahl bis hin zur Form- und Volumengebung. Diese Technik ist wunderbar für Anfänger*innen geeignet, bietet aber auch spannende Entdeckungen und nuancenreiche Details für Fortgeschrittene.
